Amidst riots in central Europe that have now spread to London and a debt downgrade that threatens to plunge the United States into a double-dip recession, Americans’ lack of confidence in their leadership is so fervent that they are now “pre-revolutionary,” according to pollster Pat Caddell.
A new Rasmussen poll shows that just 17 per cent of Americans believe that the U.S. government has the consent of the governed, an all time low. This dovetails with a record low for Congress’ approval rating, which stands at a paltry 6 per cent, while 46 per cent of Americans think most members of Congress are corrupt, with just 29% believing otherwise.





My inner beast believes our country should take Mr. Jefferson's advice. "That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves."

    I've read that someplace. It sounds familiar. I think it was on a piece of paper that the President uses as toilet paper now.

  3. I disagree, however, on the thought that we are pre-revolutionary. There are a very small number of people that are ready to throw off the shackles of this tyranny, but most of the sheeple are too fat and lazy to want to get up and do something. They are integrated into the governmental machines by way of Medicaid, Welfare, Food Stamps, bloated pensions, and the like which will disappear when the revolution comes.
    I personally think that we have passed the tipping point. The lack of stones in Congress showed last week means that wherever the road we are going down goes, we cannot stop and turn around. They don’t want to make anything better. They only want to get re-elected by feeding the masses with whatever they want. The parties only want to make the other party suffer. The band is tired, this song and dance will come to an end, and it’s getting closer and closer.
    I’ll have your back Stephen from the Free State of Colorado. Well, as long as we can boot the Front Range areas of Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Fort Collins (Collectively known as Kalifornia East).

  4. Mudbug, I agree completely. The hoopleheads could care less as they chew their mushrooms and watch the country fall. My M1A stands ready as I watch your six, too. Or, my hand made old fashioned inner-tube slingshot...
