It's raining here and you won't hear me bitch about it at all, we need it. I've spent the last two nights alone since my Sweet Wife has spent that time with her mother at the Mayo Clinic. So far she seems fine. Time will tell. She underwent several hours of brain surgery yesterday.
After my morning coffee I decided to make a pork roast Irish stew. Prep time was about forty-five minutes and now my house smells great. As a matter of fact my fingers now smell of fresh rosemary cut from my herb garden.
I hope all of you have a pleasant and restful Sunday. See you tomorrow.
Here's my roast settled in for a long day of simmering.

Shop Talk
This morning while I work two men sit and wait. One is reading Shotgun News, the other Field & Stream.
The Elmer Fudd (a hunter) with the Field & Stream looks over at the man reading the Shotgun News, then, with a smirk on his face, "Why would anyone need to own an AK-47?"
I smile and wait. Neil Boorkz is on the radio making small talk about the 'Ruler in Chief.'
The Shotgun News reader eases the magazine down onto his lap and replied, "Why would you need to own," and points towards a picture of a hunting rifle in the Fudd's magazine, "that rifle?"
"Well, so I can deer hunt."
I glance outside and chuckle. Fudd has an appearance of said deer caught in a car's headlights.
"Then," said the Shooter, "Why would you object to my right to own a weapon which helps me hunt democritters?" Like that.
Silence.

What's for Dinner
As I've said, I love to cook. It soothes my soul. Being a son of the south I do enjoy my pork, as a matter of fact I believe some chemist is missing the boat by not formulating a cologne or after-shave that smells like bacon.
Anyhow, I was just over at Deep South Dish picking over the pork recipes and decided on this,
Oh, baby, I'm hungry. For the recipe please click here.....http://www.deepsouthdish.com/search/label/Pork
While you are there cruise around the site. This nice lady can cook.

Enola Gay
Just finished reading a great entry over at http://paratusfamilia.blogspot.com/, when you have a moment skip over and read it yourself.
I've been a fan Ms. Gay's blog since, well, forever. I'm one of those readers that has seldom left comments but I think I'll take my own advice and begin doing so.
She writes down to earth common sense articles and her advice in invaluable.
Sally forth and learn.
