What Just Walked Through My Door and State Law Carry Bullcrap

Fella walks in this morning and asks if I'd like to purchase this little common Marlin model 60. It has a cheap Tasco 4x15 attached, condition is excellent, with a case. Asked how much...he mumbles a bit, shuffles his feet and told me he really needed cash in a bad way.

I ask again, how much. Poor guy glances outside and mumbles, "Is forty dollars too much?"

I paid him.

Change of subject.

You know what really pisses me off....go ahead, ask me....

I need to make a bank run this morning which will result in me walking out with a considerable amount of cash...considerable. Now, in order to conduct my business I am supposed to remove my carry weapon and walk across a large parking lot, into the bank, and back to my truck bare nakked....while packing a bag of federal reserve notes. In this neck of the woods democritters can smell cash two blocks away and I'll have nothing other than my size and willingness to use my fist to beat the suckers back.

State mandated bullcrap.

I should use some big words in my header to attract the intelligentsia of the blogger crowd....inside joke, talk among yourselves.

Why in the name of all that is holy do I find myself with the need to refresh my blog page dozens of times in order to download all the graphics on my blog?  I've had this problem for the past two weeks. At times my pictures and blog links load, but seldom my follower button. Any ideas?

I'm ready to blow this critter to high heaven....

I'm glad you were there for the little girl. To me-she has no parents, leaving her alone for that length of time. They are lucky to have her, and even luckier that you watched her that morning! You have a very kind heart even if you like the guns!

adlomstk, Thank you for your kind comment. It's nice to know it's possible for me to have a kind heart even if I like 'the guns.' Perhaps my lifelong membership in the gun culture and love of firearms had a direct correlation to the little girl's safety......

So, with Progeny on her 3rd day of Kindergarten, I had the duty of taking her down to the bus stop. After seeing her onto the bus, I drove to the school, and met her coming off the bus. I then walked her to the Cafeteria for breakfast, and made sure she could get to class, and letting her know who to ask if she forgot how to get to class. And then I left her there. And I feel horrible. I have visions in my head of Beslan, Columbine, and every pedophilic pervert ever found in a school rolling through my head. If I had my way, not only would I walk her to and from class, I would set up in a tree with my rifle and made sure she was unmolested. And have her wearing specially made panties that say, "Notice from her Father: Go any further and I will kill you."

Thank You and Good Morning

First, I'd like to extend my hand in welcome and say thank you very much to my new followers. I came on line this morning to find my hit list now stands at fifty (50) which, I must admit, surprised the heck out of me. So to, RobertM, Jonathan, odysseusofithica (say that five times fast), Tincan Assassin (great tag right there), and last but not least, keangnt. Again, thanks.

I again renew my promise to all my followers and to all those that comment on my humble little blog - I shall always reply, individually, to each and every comment left here. It might take me a few hours, but bet on it, I will reply.

I've had a long hard weekend. Not complaining, it was fun, but hard. My son and DIL are on vacation so Sweet Wife and yours truly kept our grandchildren, Little Bit and Sport Model, for the past few days. Didn't even have a chance to burn gunpowder; did cook. Sport Model is now 10 months old and holding that child is like wrestling a monkey....

Now you understand why I haven't had time to post...sorry. Miss Tamara, the queen of all things gunny and snark, kept me busy yesterday. Kinda fun, but I'm not use to such attention, and to those nice people who left comments on my post 'Cop Attitude,' thank you.

I promise to travel around the web and try and meet all my new followers today. If you have clicked my blue button, I shall follow you too.
