BENGAY to You Too

I often overhear people say, "I ache all over." Well, duh. When I have body aches and pain I just hurt, all over is just a given, and at present I ache, ah - all over. So there. It's time for a tube of BENGAY.

After a long night and deep sleep I was awakened to a flash jump into the future. You see, the silly government, in all its omnipotence has once again taken our lives, and time, and flushed away the winter season and slapped us into the dead of summer. I hate it. In our youth winter slowly became spring which gently gave us the extended hours of long summer nights filled with fireflies and dirty bare feet.

It's time to put this silliness to rest.

Anyhow, I spent six hours out in the garage hard at work on my current restoration project and now, oh Nelly, tonight I shall pay for my lost youth.

Sadly tomorrow I must knuckle down and try and finish our taxes, if only because somewhere out there in the wilds of Detroit a liberal needs its Obama phone.

Hey, how many of you remember Roy Rogers? Good. Now, what was the name of his sidekicks Jeep?

You are now excused....

Stephen

    2. Just kidding....I used to have to watch that show (Tarzan too) every Saturday when I spent the weekend with my cousins. Later on with my aunts who were just a few years older than me it was American Bandstand. Too bad our kids and grand kids don't have much of anything decent left to watch.

  2. Nellybelle...of course. Before I cut of my Dish TV, I watched the Roy Rogers show on RFDTV every week. They were good folks and role models. It is still winter here, although spring is trying to bust out, but not having much luck. What do you think of the S&W Model 25-2?

    1. Funny, just this morning we caught the show on RFDTV too. First time I'd seen an episode since the fifties. The Smith 25 is a hand full of handgun. Is it for you? Its a fine firearm and hard to beat.

  3. I wonder why it is that I can remember Nellybelle right off the bat but for the life of me can't recall where I put my keys 15 minutes ago.
I also forgot today that I'm not 20 any more and did more lifting and hauling than was wise for a person of my vintage. Dad always swore by horse liniment for aches and pains. Dad was right. Wish I had some.

    1. Happens to me everyday, Vicki. I always over extend myself when I've a goal in sight and sense the satisfaction of my labors. Not sure, but I understand what you mean about forgetfulness. I remembered Bullet's name, but where's the chuck for my hand drill...strange.

    1. Was Dale's horse Buttercup? Or, Buttermilk? I really can't remember. And, why did they pretend to live in the old west yet drive a Willys Jeep...?

  5. Buttermilk was the horse. And yes, the 25-2 is for me, although DH doesn't know it yet.

    1. If the Smith 25 is chambered in .45 Colt it'll pack quite the punch...have you held the firearm? One thing for sure, it'll function. They seldom break. Buttermilk....thanks, my sweet friend.

  6. My wife watches Roy Rogers and the Lone Ranger on the TV whenever she gets the chance. I usually watch with her. I know there's a disconnect with outlaws riding horses and shooting Single Action Army Colts, but hey, it was the 50's.
