My Day

In a snapshot.

The rain pounds, dark skies, with wind.

Now, thunder.

If not at work I'd hold a book and keep my coffee close.

  1. Go outside and offer free coffee to the homeless people in the park.

    1. Now why haven't I thought of that...great idea. When I grow into a mature man I want to be just like you - kind and thoughtful. Stay dry.

  2. I miss thunderstorms, but not the flooding that frequently followed. Stay safe & dry, sir.

    1. Not a problem...and sit and read (very slow morning) and listen to the rain...if I had a raincoat I take Duke's advice...

    1. Here, if we don't get our average twenty inches a week, this place turns into a mini-sahara.

  5. Thank you for the heads up. We are looking forward to a respite from the constant blazing sun. We should be getting your weather here in four hours if the wind current keeps blowing S/W. And wouldn't you know it, we got our sod finally - during this heat wave. We need a good drenching.

Thunder is the cherry on top.

  6. Its gloomy and damp yet humid today. Its rained on and off all night. I havent pulled my morning cup of coffee yet.... its 2:40 pm here and I spent the morning with our newly adopted daughter at Shriners Hospital in our neck of the woods. Seems the little peanut popped her elbow out of joint and then promptly back in last evening trying to give Daddy a good night hug. It was a night of tears, ice packs, little kids tylenol, and immobilization and mom sleeping on the living room floor. No fractures found but cast in place for support and protection. Ahhhh the life of a mom... wouldnt have it any other way! Now for that cup of coffee!
