And, a Kiss

When she rang the bell I released the lock and she stepped in and said, "Please, will you buy this." I was handed a small brown packet and inside was a nice sliver bracelet. It was heavy, made in Italy and weighed out at 51.5 of .925 Sterling, a vintage piece. She was all of twenty, slight and well worn.

She wiggled in place as I looked the piece over. Then, "I'll even throw in a kiss."

I'm a sucker for silver.

I gave her a price and she squealed with delight and before I could move she planted a nice wet one on me.

Think I'll keep it.

Some days are like that...

(Keep this between us.)

  1. With all that jewelry, pretty soon you'll just need a pink felt hat with a plume in it, and you'll be ready to launch a new business.

    1. As long as it's profitable...maybe a green hat with a turkey feather.

  2. It's always nice to make someone's day ... and even nicer when they are so clearly grateful. I'm sure SW will understand. :)

  3. Oh lordy... I can just imagine what Pioneer Prepper is going to say. Do I have to defend your honor again?

    1. Not at all. Let it ride. If it gives him a chuckle, why not let him enjoy himself. All trends were out in time.

    3. NO you should defend his honor it proves me right. Women always stand up for the nice guys who cave and say yes when they don't have skin in the game.

But we all know who they go home with :)

After you call them on this fact they will all cry "They are not like that" but all the men with real world experience know better. They have seen it for themselves.

  5. You're showing skin in pics ... better be careful or the ladies will want to see more!

  8. You do have a weakness. . . for silver, I mean.

  9. Sounds like everyone came away from the deal happy. That's a rarity.

  10. I tried to make 'em happy, doesn't always work that way especially when they walk in with, 'its worth this.' I had the feeling she badly needed the cash. Thanks, my good friend.

  11. I've never had a citizen smooch me before. Not in 18 years on the job. I did have a grandma hug me once after I cornered and caught the psycho pitbull that bit her grandson. The lady must have weighed close to 300 lbs and I thought she was going to snap my spine. That counts... right? :)

  12. Yes, it counts. This one surprised me. I smiled all afternoon. Thanks, Bubba.

  15. Thank you. Its an old ring I've owned for years. A signatured Navajo handmade piece. I like heavy chunks of silver. Take care, sweet lady.
