Boom-Boom

In about an hour my truck will point its nose towards a long day at the range. Many shall gather and limber their trigger fingers and inhale the wonderful scent of gunpowder.

Later this evening we'll build a fire and tell tall tales of days gone by, and for sure, enjoy deep long lasting friendships. Excuse me as I've ammo to load.

Wish you could join us.

Have a great day and I'll give a range report tomorrow.

Stephen

  6. Your rifle pictured there looks eerily similar to one hiding in my closet... ;)

    2. :D

Your halo is a bit crooked after that remark, Sir.

    3. Badger, my good friend, as many are willing to testify, my halo has been bent and tarnished for decades. And, as my wife always remarks, my sense of humor is as dry as an old bone. Take care.

Jealous!!! It's to darn hot to go to our out door range today. Have fun :-)

    1. Hey, it cannot be any worse than the ninety-two degree heat we had here, and we still spent a day slinging lead downrange...

  8. have a good time out there. I thought about going to the range myself but we have big thunderstorms moving through the area so I decided to stay home.

    1. Most of us, the grown men, just sit under the shed's roof and wait it out. We had a nice storm yesterday.

  9. You said I was to throw on my boots, brew the iced tea, and join you! It's too hot for boots. Iced tea will melt. Just remember the peanut butter cookies! I'm now terribly missing those daily thunderstorms you sent our way! LOVE that Florida thunder. It goes on forever due to the flat land.

I'm trying the different stance you suggested for aiming my .357 with it's kick, and it IS helping my elbow!

    1. Ouch.

Update: Did you know that an old woman can still find a way to lock her right elbow in the Weaver stance? The pain was instant, and sharp. Arthritis? NO!

You should see the sports tape on my arm!

    2. Joy, I forgot the cookies and Duke sat his gear far from mine. I'm sorry about your pain...since I'm not a doctor I'm at a loss for words. Try a bottle of Wild Turkey...

    3. I needed the laugh. Don't EVER explain to your female, Indian, peace loving doctor HOW you hurt your elbow. She actually got a little incensed.

Now, as for that Wild Turkey...

Since the pain shot to my shoulder, I had to have an xray to rule out a fracture.

      Now...as for that Wild Turkey...

    1. You want me to take care of the snakes...okay, will do. Didn't see a single one. Bring your pink AK anytime. We have black paint.

    1. I walk out into the backyard. Quick shot, close door and wait. Kill squirrels from my garage. Wife said neighbors are afraid of me...can't imagine why.
