Coffee, with a slice of Thunder

Sorry for my late replies and lack of post. Business has been outstanding this week. Between the shop and SW's therapy and my housework; well, let's just say I've been a busy man.

We have a stormy night. Hard pounding rain, thunder and lightning...nice stuff for a cup of coffee and a slice of pie.

I hope this finds all of you, my friends, well and happy.

Now please excuse me. I believe I'll put my feet to stool and read until I fall asleep to the sweet music of the rain.

BTW, my slice of pie was Lemon Meringue.

  4. No pie for me today. I did have a Buffalo burger with bacon, though, so I can't complain :).

  5. Stephen,

Putting one's feet up, reading and listening to rain is so relaxing. I wish it would rain here.

  6. Lemon pie is the best IMO. Glad to hear your having a bang up business week. I can't wait for warm rains and distant thunder up here. Lucky stiff.

  7. Glad business is hopping. Would trade the rain for our 8" plus of the white stuff we have.

    1. Deal. Box the snow and ship and I'll capture a few gallons of rain and send it your way. Thanks, my friend.

  8. Yummmm. Excellent choice.

Many years ago a friend gave me a recording he'd made of a Florida thunderstorm. He used the storm as the background for hours of beautiful instrumental music. The tape was titled "Stormy Afternoon". It was my favorite, as was he, for a good many years. There is a long story there - for another time. Interesting though, that your post pulled those memories out of the depths. I thought they were securely put to rest!

    Blessings,
    Red

  9. I really like that revolver map widget you have on your sidebar, pretty cool. Sadly wordpress won't allow anything like that so my blog will just have to stay plain vanilla for the time being. Best regards.
