Rambling

Today I have an escape plan in mind. I'm sure I'll tick off a few people, my doctor, nurse, and Sweet Wife, but I've had it with house arrest. The day nurse just left, so the rest of my day is free. My poor truck has been ignored long enough and I hear her pleas; come drive me. I shall.

I need to run by my shop and check on the stack of mail I'm sure is waste deep by now. I want to write and post a notice for my customers, if I've any left to read it, and perhaps gather a few files for that awful time when I begin my tax preparations.

I'd also like to sneak over to our local Publix and find a nice chunk of beef. I have a hankering for fajitas. All that beautiful salsa I made is a perfect addition for fajitas...

At least this is my plan. My condition might change my mind once I'm behind the wheel. I'll take it easy. What's that old saying, 'the best laid plans.'

I miss my Little Bit. Haven't seen her since last Friday, or was it Saturday. My days are a blur. Hopefully I can convince my son to allow her to spend this Friday night with us. I miss her something awful. Sweet Wife has taken my duties and drives her to school each morning. I'm jealous.

Rain is in the forecast. Should make for a great nap period when I return from my adventures into the real world. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Stephen

  1. Keep the seat belt tight around your gut, you don't want it all falling out when you slam on brakes.

  3. Stephen,
You are pushing it way too far, too soon.
It would not be a good idea to leave by yourself and drive unless you have someone else driving!
You also should not be going into the grocery store or public places yet, due to your "bug".
Please get a friend to go run these errands for you.
    and, just practice patience.

    Read Proverbs today.

  4. I understand the need, but you should listen to the Docs.

Stay home and do some dry fire practice.

  6. I understand the urge to get out, but maybe just walk around the back yard..? Don't push it; you're too valuable to Sweet Wife & Little Bit to take chances now.

  10. Damn them all I say. Let them know you will not be imprisoned like an old bear at the zoo. Have someone take a picture of you standing in front of a strip club while you hold up todays paper just for fun and show it to all of them.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

  11. Oh ya and then post tomorrow that you hurt yourself and dare that Canadian vixen in the bunny ears to come down and do something about it.

Never let an opportunity like that pass you by I say.

  12. Hope you had fun getting out, and avoided any potholes and idiots in traffic! Do take care of yourself after the exciting adventures - boredom is better than hospital.

  13. Get you some puzzles, for you and Little Bit when she comes over. Get Duke to do all the driving, he likes that. You have lost a lot of weight right? You are weak yet. . .If you have to go do a couple little tree rats, and if you can skin them out. . .Well. . . Hell no!!! Do you know how valuable you are to Sweet Wife & Little Bit. After what these two little ladies have been through, I don't think you want to make them mad. They will kick your but!! Did Doc say you can drive now? If not ask first. I have done the same very thing you are wanting to do, it is not worth the setback. We all want you to get better, not go backwards! Sorry to give you a rough time. .But, as you get to feeling better reward yourself when someone is around to pick you up!<3 Don't get put on restriction, a certain little girl will get you. . .In My Prayers. .
