Old Pour

A very unique and rare piece of silver.

A 1.24 ounce .999 fine silver Alexander Westerfall Smelters ingot loaf bar.

Circa, 1970.

A few pieces have recently hit the market - about five. If you like precious metals these make fine investment pieces.

Sorry I haven't written in the last two days. Busy here. Catch you later.

Stephen

    1. Smart move, Sandy. I dollar cost average. Then, once in a while, I purchase a collector piece like the one above.

  2. When I get cremated, I'll have the mortician send you my gold tooth. He'll be removing it anyway, so I'd rather have a friend end up with it. You're welcome. lol

Tonight I'll be looking at maps of Jacksonville and the cities just outside of it. Then I'm going to google homes for sale. (Joe "thinks" I'm just having fun.)

Have you ever seen, or heard of, the RED FIG INN? They take dogs, and are close to restaurants and the beach. It's a small two story cottage for vacation renters.

      Second, what's a 'Jacksonville?'

Third, never heard of the place...sorry, Sweet Joy.

  5. Right nice. I need to get on the stick, and get some for Kathi and I. A friend of mine was out metal detecting the other day. And, found a 5 oz bar of silver. That has the Coors logo on it. He found it in a lot where a house had been torn down this week. Lucky dog.

  7. There's nothing like silver.

I remember the first time I saw a 100oz bar... a nicely chunky Englehard. I thought, "man... one of these days I'm gonna buy one of those..."

Some time later I bought a 100oz JM Matthey bar through the mail, sight unseen... and when it arrived I was totally disappointed by the rough pour.

'Course, later on it helped me pay for my house.

    1. I agree, David. Now, those old rough pour bars bring a premium by those collectors of only old pour. As in your case when I was younger silver helped us make a fine down payment on our first, second, and third homes. Buy and hold. Thanks, my friend.
