Thanks & Welcome, and a Note

First I want to say, thanks and welcome to my new friend and follower Jim Boatman. Jim, I promise to always answer any comment you leave. It might take me a few hours, and in rare cases, days, but trust me I will reply.

Now, I shall make a huge effort to finish my taxes today. I feel like a monkey on a rope and the banana is just out of my reach. I hate tax season....using the word, hate, here. So, having said that, expect little in the way of new post here for a few hours. In the meantime, let's all hope the Fair Tax is passed. At least in our children's lifetime.

Again, Jim, thanks for hitting my little blue button. You are now among friends.

Stephen

  1. I wouldn't count on it. If you read the latest Executive Order that the president dictated into law this past Friday, after business hours and on the eve of a cultural holiday (when most won't notice), you'll notice that what's ours is explicitly theirs now. Everything.

    2. Silly, isn't it...but then again, the government has always owned us. BTW, this is the same bill signed by each president since Eisenhower. They all put their little spin on it. It's what gave power to the National Guard during the hurricane in New Orleans to confiscate food stores from travelers cars, to take 4x4's, and remember the old lady and her gun, how they beat her on camera...this was under the same bill. Besides, what can we do? It's an Executive Order by his highness. Thanks, Matt.

    3. All true here, but one "minor" addition here from me.

Until now, we've never had a Marxist president with strong Nationalistic leanings. It makes a difference in my book. If Bill Clinton had done this, I'd still be bothered (even after his assault weapons ban), but not nearly to the extent of BHO. The "D" after his names doesn't mean "Democrat", but "Dictator".

      Thanks, buddy. :)
