Something New

Since I haven't eaten more than a speck of food over the last few days I want to try something new. I have never prepared Creamed Spinach. It's about time.

The recipe can be found here.

I suppose it's very apparent I'm hungry.

  1. Yep very apparent.... but understandable. I can see each item separately, but not together.

You're not pregnant and having food cravings are you? :^D

    1. How in the world did you know I was pregnant...great guess.
You know, if one were to add a bit of bacon to this dish I bet it'd win a blue ribbon. Thanks, my friend.

  2. Glad you appetite (and functioning mouth) is back. One of our favourites too :) Served with a crispy roll and a poached or fried egg on top. Nothing to beat it.

Btw, I also have a creamed spinach recipe: http://ecofootprintsa.blogspot.com/2011/09/creamed-spinach-recipe.html Very similar, but I don't add onion or cajun spice - yet... LOL

    1. Recipe printed, thanks Dani. I like the fried egg idea too, mine of course would be lightly cooked. I like runny yokes.

  5. Eat well. My lovely wife found a nice beef tomato soup in the freezer that I forgot about. Went down well. We both still have colds so a good soup is a pleasure.

  7. So funny that you made this. I'm up at 3 in the morning, hungry and rummaging thru the fridge, and finally settled on leftover creamed spinach. I have not made the stuff in ages. What are the odds? ; )

  9. Can't believe how good that looks. My dear hubby RUNS from spinach. I think it was his parent's approach to eating that turned him against 'the green and mushy world'. Come to think of it . . Against the entire universe of vegetables that have been whipped into submission and buried in a slurry:)
