A Day of Adventure

Sweet Wife should be home within the hour. She called ahead and told me to, in her words, "Clean up and make yourself presentable before I get home."

I said, "Yes dear."

We shall sally forth for a day of adventure. Business and legal related stuff unfortunately. Birth Mother has sneaked her way back into our lives, and since she's our only hope, we shall make all attempts to get her life back on track. She has issues.

This is my way of saying, there is hope.

Not sure when I shall return today, but I'll try and update when possible.

Keep your fingers crossed and if you're so inclined, whisper a prayer for us.

Stephen

  3. Please please please stay open minded....I hate the thought of heart break....some times a little time can also fix things. Like I have told ya, I know the pain you are dealing with.
Do you know where son is? Can you send a card to him telling you would like to someday try and smooth things out? Take it slow bro. the ice is gonna break sometime. Sometimes our kids do some really stupid hurtful shit that makes no sense whatsoever. Take it slow if ya gotta.

I wish you the very best of luck, and am here for ya too.
    Take a real deep breath.......

  4. dear sweet one - i am glad that Sweet Wife is back and i am glad that there is still hope. i can't wait for you to update us on how things are going with Birthmother...and of course Little Bit. Stephen, i think there are a lot of us here who have never stopped whispering prayers. it's because we love you, Sweet Wife and Little Bit.

Warlock gives some good advice. i was actually thinking along the same lines. maybe send him a card or a letter. tell him how much this is hurting you, Sweet Wife and Little Bit. if that doesn't work, then i suggest you go another route. talk about paying for her school again this coming year. money has a way of making idiots forget their little issues.

so much love being sent to you on this wonderful day. your friend,
    kymber

    1. Thanks, Sweetheart. My emotions are like a roller coaster of late. One moment I see blue skies, then the clouds move over and my world grows dim.

  6. Darlin, Joe and I were always reaching out with kindness that was returned with hatred and undeserved revenge, using our granddaughter as the battering ram against us. All the kind letters and ( in our case ) money...lots and lots of money, only got us laughed at.

In your case, the die has been cast and the dirty penny (birth mom) has returned. (they always do)

Use her for all you can and somehow, some way, nail her feet to the floor so she can't run out on you again.

I've been wondering though, how can a rotten birth-mother be of any help in getting Little Bit?

    1. My sweet friend, short answer, yes the birth mother is but a few weeks, we hope, of having full joint (or co-parenting) custody. She's our only hope. Thank you.

So . . . the calls ahead of time to make sure you clean up? Mine wants to come home to me smelling bad. That way she knows I haven't been out on the town. :)

  12. Praying for your family. Glad Sweet Wife got you "cleaned up". I couldn't help but glance at pic. .Hope this means ya are united with Lil Bit!<3. . .Doesn't matter about what issues birth mom has. . This can really mean so much to Lil Bit. And that is the most important thing. I have been reading your blog and not knowing what to say. Kinda surprised about judges we have these days. I have my guns under lock and key. Two reasons>> they keep clean and Safe. I found a good recipe for those Cathead biscuits »»» see below. You all are "In My Prayers". Hope you find peace in your heart to be there when the son needs ya. . He will come back. It is their way of being stubborn and In Control. . .
