Jazz In The Morning

I've jazz on the system this morning. It reminds me of the early 1960's. Nice.

I'm trying to type and answer a text from my friend, MDR. As a matter of fact I just typed, "He has a very shallow sense of humor," speaking of our Lord in relation to my recent illness. My friend, MDR, is funny and kind and generous and I respect him very much indeed.

Which brings me to the subject of this blog post. Friends. Friends I've met in this weird and wonderful medium we all call the internet. I haven't the time, presently, to link each and everyone of you. Then again I could just take a day to write this little post and do just that, link each of you. But, I've just flipped the shop sign to open and customers hate to wait. After all, I am a wicked capitalist.

Back on subject (to much coffee this morning) you. You, my good friends, never cease to astound me. I write a simple little vignette about my restlessness and my wife's emotions and you guys come back with such caring and understanding responses it leaves me at a loss for words, literally.

Thank you.

Stephen

  1. We're here to take care of each other, my friend, just as our Lord says. You needn't bear any burdens alone.

If I can help, I will.

  4. Yup, I can almost picture it, Our Lord sitting on his throne saying to the angels, "Hey, y'all come here and watch this guy when I do this...." Then with a slap of a knee that we call thunder and with him and all the angels laughing so hard they cry, we call it rain.

    1. Come to think of it, are we not placed here for the entertainment of God and his angles??

Sometimes I feel he does things to see how we react as his children. Think about the stupid things we do, and yes the rain would be the tears or joy, in the good we do, the humor we provide them.

The storms are just God showing his displeasure in us his children.

Stephen you and many others here, MDR, K/J, S/Mom & Duke have giving me more and better advice then many of my so called friends and family. For that alone I am indebted to y'all. :)

May God bring blessings and happiness to us all.

    2. I know what your saying Rob and thank you for the compliment, but for the record the statement above is not what I believe, it just seems that way sometimes. If you want to know in depth how I believe and what I believe in, shoot me an email and I will be more than happy to go back and forth on the topic.
      Until then,
      MDR

  5. There's a Jazz station called Oz in New Orleans that I love to listen to from time to time, and if that doesn't do it, I'll google up a Zydeco/Cajun radio show. It reaches the inner Cajun in me ; )
