A Day Off

Yesterday I took the day off from everything...the blog just didn't seem important. I stayed as far away from this laptop as possible. It just didn't seem important.

I relaxed, read some, spent time with Little Bit.  She and I played a few games. Since we had a day long storm highlighted with thunder and lightning and hail we stayed hunkered down for most of the day. It was nice.

I even napped. Little Bit gave me permission. Once in a while we all deserve a day off from our blogs, and since mine was so nice I might just try it again today.

This afternoon I plan to make a huge salad of grilled chicken strips, baby spinach, red onions, cutes and tomatoes and whatever else comes to hand. If you're in the neighborhood, come over and we'll have a bite.

I'll see you later.

Stephen

    1. Heck, just get sick...I seem to get alot of them lately. But when I said day off I meant one without distractions and chores. Even when sick I feel guilty not working. Thanks, Sweet Lady.

  6. Enjoy this day of rest!
The salad sounds delicious. We are really starting to miss good fresh vegetables here. Maybe in a week or so, we'll actually have some asparagus - a full month early!

    1. Mrs. S., your mention of asparagus is timely...I grabbed a mess this afternoon, and, five ears of fresh corn...for tomorrow. The salad was indeed very good. We have fresh Florida tomatoes in now. Love 'em. Thanks, Dear Lady.
