AK-47's Found In The Firewood

And the idiot turned them over to the Russian police....story here.

A man poses with a Kalashnikov rifle seized in Northern Ireland, 1999

Bubba, I'm here to tell 'ya, if I'd found these rifles, well, let's just say they'd never see the inside of a police station.

H/T to Frank James.

  1. Some folks don't understand. AK's would so be kept, cleaned, and ready to use. But hey that's just me.

    1. Rob, good point. I bet he reacted out of fear. Thanks.

  2. I would go into debt again building a hidden armory for a find like that. Straight military AK's to boot. Maybe he just didn't have any place to hide them and was worried he would be found out.

Some people have all the luck.

    1. You and me both, Bubba. I agree, it's possible he kept one or two but knew his neighbors might contact the cops...fear works and our country is headed in the same general direction.

  3. Maybe he's not that dumb, maybe he kept half and turned the other half in? Maybe not. Either way it's pretty amazing that they got "lost" like that to begin with!!

  4. Mystic, I agree, more than likely he did keep a few. With the government over there I understand how they threw away surplus weapons. Thanks.

  6. He bought scrap, and found something he did not pay for.

Finding AK-47s in the scrap you bought is worrisome. So he told the appropriate people.

I think he should be commended.

  7. Some people are not very bright. Of course he might have found a lot more and only reported a few.
