A Can of Fun

Arrived this morning from Lucky Gunner. The nice folks there sent me a fifty round can of Fiocchi .45 ammunition. I shall sling some lead this weekend and report back on my results early next week. Stay tuned.

The fine print on this can read,'Fiocchi's new line of Canned Heat is hermetically sealed and packed with desiccants to prevent rust, deterioration, and moisture.'  This is perfect for prep storage.

Wish you fine folks could join me this weekend. I just love the smell of gunpowder in the morning....

Thanks, Lucky Gunner.

  5. Catchy advertizing!
    Canned Heat.
I wonder if they will get any ruckus from the old 1960's band?

can't wait to read the post firing performance
    review.

  6. Looks like interesting ammo. I like the idea of the can instead of cardboard packaging.

  7. Wonder if you could talk them out of another can to bury for a year or two and then write up about shooting?

  8. A friend got the shotgun tracers and they seem pretty cool. We're going to do some late evening videos on our zombie run at the end of this month. I'd be interested to see how the solid projectile stuff works.

  9. notutopis, it is a catchy phrase isn't it. Not sure about the 'canned heat.' Many ammo manufactures over the years have used the term. If I'm not mistaken Georgia Arms branded their 'reloaded' offerings with canned heat.

Arsenius, I like the cans too. Thanks.

Odysseus, great idea, I'll ask. I might try to video some of our shooting this coming weekend. Thanks.

45er, I like the zombie run stuff...post it. Yes, I agree, I have always preferred FMJ for defense in rifle and work outs on the range. Hollow points in my carry piece are standard, but expensive. Thanks.

  11. I like the canned packaging, but I've shot their shotgun shells in the past and they were super dirty. I look forward to hearing about the .45s.

  12. Hillbilly, I've never used their shotgun shells, but Lord knows they've been around for a hundred years...Italy you know. I should have a post up on the .45 by next week. Thanks.
