Mayhaw Jelly

My friend, Duke, recently returned from a camping trip in Georgia. He was kind enough to bring home a few jars of this great Mayhaw Jelly.  For those of you that are not fortunate enough to live in the Southern States of America, and as such, haven't had the wonderful experience of waking to buttered toast and Mayhaw Jelly, well, shucks, too bad.
It's too good to share with Yankees.....

  1. Hahaha! I lived in Florida and South Carolina, way back when, and don't recall ever having the good fortune to sample Mayhaw Jelly. Enjoy!

  2. Matt, it is very good. My family has been making this jelly for years.

Red Woman, that is a real shame. It's a part of our Southern heritage.

  4. Good stuff indeed Stephen & I love your tag label of "poor yankees!" Thanks for stopping by to visit today too by the way! I don't use a lot of convenience products, but that marinade is a good one - it definitively has the fire you need for some good wings.

  7. Teri, it's truly a gift, the Mayhaw bush and passing on the art of making jelly with the children.
