Early

I took Little Bit to Vacation Bible School this morning. As you know 'Little Bit' is my six year old granddaughter and my heart. The reason I'm telling you this, dear reader, is because I smiled for the entire seven mile trip. She holds my hand for every mile we drive. It's the little things in life.

  1. Very true and even tho I want grandchildren, I do not want them for a few more years.

  2. MDR, I can understand you not wanting grandchildren now. They become adults much too quickly as it is. But, when those grandchildren arrive, it'll be the best part of your life.

  3. I got to see my grandsons last Saturday for the first time in over two years. I haven't seen them since my son's memorial service because they live two states away and my son's wife doesn't really want us in their lives. But she and the boys were in town this month visiting her family and she finally agreed to bring them my niece's apartment Saturday night. The minute they showed up and the boys saw me, there was a rush to hug and you couldn't peel them away from me the whole time we were there. Whatever resentments or ill feelings their mama has, the boys don't share it. She's gone back home now but the boys are still in town for another two weeks. She agreed to let me pick them up for 4rh of July weekend so they can spend some time at the farm and so YOF can see them too. YOF and I both are like a couple of kids waiting for Christmas until we get to pick them up. Grandkids are da' bomb!

  4. God bless you Stephen for being active and involved in your granddaughter's life. And God bless you too, HossBoss, for making the efforts you have to maintain contact with your grandchildren. I promise you that these kids will remember you with love in their hearts forever!

  5. HossBoss, I'm happy for you. I would die (or at least go nuts) if I could not see my grandchildren on a weekly basis. My son claims I have a habit of kidnapping my granddaughter. But what does he know, he's just their father.

Bruce, thank you, and God bless you too. Thanks for stopping by and please, come back for a visit.
