Having suffered from a sleep disorder for about 30 years now, I feel your pain. It's no laughing matter. The stupidest thing I've had anyone say to me was "Well, at least lack of sleep can't kill you." Yes, it can, because you quickly become unable to function properly and vulnerable to accidents. I require big dose Ambien every *&!@ night in order to get 4 to 6 hours. Otherwise, because my brain doesn't produce enough hypocretin, I alternate between awake and being trapped in endless nightmares that I fight to get out of only to find that I'm dreaming that I'm awake and that I'm still trapped in the nightmare.
Go read this site. I assure you it will put you to sleep.

Ah, Bubba, please don't ask me to suffer thru New York law...
Delete'Morning, Stephen! Been up for an hour already!
ReplyDeleteHah...amateur....I never went to bed. Are you aware silence is deafening. Hear it...oh, just a coon in my trash can.
DeleteTrade 'ya the 'coon for my rooster - stupid Charley WON'T shut up!
ReplyDeleteDeal...send it. Coon's on the way. Make sure you water him.
DeleteI usually fall asleep at 2am.
ReplyDeleteThis morning, I was asleep at 3am: awake at 6am, and standing in the yard taking a picture of the sunrise. And I can't nap during the day.
It's lonely for a person who is like that.
I know the feeling...I was awake all friggin night.

ReplyDeleteThen, my friend, we are much alike and you do understand. Bless 'ya.
DeleteI guess I shouldn't complain too much reading my fellow sufferer's comments, sad to say.
ReplyDeleteI'm sometimes hesitant to write of this awful condition...it might spread the petulance. Thanks, Brock.
