I Want

Some good meat loaf. I've had this craving since yesterday. I don't know why, but there it is, my weakness laid bare.

It's busy here today so this short post must suffice until after our group gathers tomorrow. We'll have a full day of work, and hopefully, a bit of fun.

Ah, ketchup too. I seldom use the condiment but meat loaf would not be the same without it.

*****

Just received a call from Sweet Wife. She and Glock Mom have a girls day planned tomorrow. They're taking a long ride to a huge flea market. God bless anyone that gets between them and a deal. They both pack handguns....and know how to use them. Maybe, just maybe, Sweet Wife will find me a good deal on a Coleman.

Hey, gotta run.

Stephen

  2. Nothing better than a good home-made meat loaf, with ketchup baked thick on top.

  3. I thawed out some hamburg and was wondering what to do with it. The cookstove is going and the oven is hot. Might be just the thing. That photo got the juices flowing.

  4. Yes, I agree that meatloaf is good, especially w/mashed potatoes. But what can't be beat is the next day ... meatloaf sandwiches!

  5. I prepared a meatloaf the other day and put it in the freezer for a future meal. All you have to do is pop it in the oven.

Hey Stephen, I picked up a beautiful coleman 275 lantern with the hardshell case for $4.00 this morning at a yard sale. The light works!! Another lantern to add to our prepping items.

I hope Sweet Wife comes back with some new found stuff for you from the flea market.

    1. Kymbr just can't figure out how to ferment the meat loaf yet or she would be all over it.

  8. I make a good and mean meatloaf and several varieties...I like one crammed with bacon and cheddar cheese with mash potatoes and gravy on the side.

Yes it should be fun tomorrow..however we will have two boys in tow, that will want everything from slushy drinks to kettle corn. : )

Make sure you give SW lots of $$$$ to spend. : )

  9. DFW is right. The next day meatloaf sandwiches on white bread with lots o' mayo is almost better than meatloaf night.

Meatloaf isn't real meatloaf without the ketchup. Stew and Bisquick dumplings MUST have ketchup too. We had it for supper last night - yum!
Kymber - too bad you are so far away - You and hubby would love my meatloaf!
