Are so good. I've spent the last three hours with nutcracker in hand shelling several pounds of sweet Georgia pecans. It's tedious work. My right hand has had a good workout.
The market for shelled pecans in our region is $11.35 per pound. Remember, three hours of work.
I figure it took me ten minutes to eat about twenty-three dollars worth.
Ahh, so good.

Now picture them covered in caramel and chocolate.

JC, I eat these before they have a chance to even think about freezer...I have such self-control.
DeleteIs it P-cans or P-cons. We have a bunch of trees around work and they are falling and rotting on the ground, I have picked up a few bags full.
ReplyDeleteBubba, it's p-cons...a pecan used at night. At over eleven dollars a pound I be picking as many as possible. Thanks.
DeleteLove walnuts, and p-cons. But they don't like me. My mom has like 100 quart jars of them canned. And brought here to denver. All of us kids will be getting a "share".
ReplyDeleteLucky man you...I've never canned nuts. Need to try it. Thanks, my friend.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love Pecans. We collect them when we can around here and if we can't, I'll buy the heck out of them.
