I Want

Busy here today, very busy. Just wanted to share my latest 'want' with you.

She's a 1969 Deere.

Our lives remain the same. This is still America. You still have the love of your family and friends are still your strongest asset.

We still have our hobbies and will continue to shoot, hunt and fish. We still have our homes, farms, gardens. You still have sunrise and sunset and the joy they give us.

Yes, our country has changed. Sadly, I believe its lost to us forever. We shall adapt.

So please don't be sad, or angry, reach out and take your children close and give them a kiss. Shake a friends hand. Grab a rifle and enjoy a day at the range. Stake out a turkey and scout for the perfect Christmas tree.

Smile, our life continues despite their best efforts.

Update

Thank you all very much for your kind words, thoughts and prayers for my father.

He received three stints today. He is well.

My father is a tough old coot and I'm sure he'll be back on his feet soon.

Ten Minutes

Was all the time I needed this morning to vote. I hit the deck, early, showered and dressed and was out the door into the rain and darkness because the 'media' said voters were sure to stand in line for hours to cast their ballot.

I was lucky and quickly found a place to park my truck. I dashed (for me a quick walk) through the rain. In and out.

Don't listen to the media. They're liars. Please, vote.
