She just bounced in off the street - a working girl, and laid the ugly pink Walther P22 on my desk. She said, "I don't know if its loaded. You want to buy it?"
It was loaded.
I asked her price. Her, "Give me a hundred and its yours."
I must have a hole in my head because I gave her the hundred after I checked the bore, gave it a function test - it passed. Hey, I'm a capitalist, so sue me.
Thing is, its pink. Pink with silver highlights. The is a drag your butt in the mud slap ya mama ugly handgun.
Some dude will make his wife or daughter happy some day soon - when I find a willing buyer. Or, I just might throw it in the safe for my granddaughter.
Blurry picture is my middle name.
Later.
Stephen
A working girl? or a "working" girl?? ;)
ReplyDeleteShe's a purveyor of her fine arts upon the streets of our fair city. Thanks, Anon.
Deletedear Stephen-blurry-picture - arghghghghghghghghgh! i want that little beauty! oh i want her so much! she is NOT UGLY at all! oh wawawaawawawwa! i want her!!!!
ReplyDeleteyour friend,
kymber
Sorry, my dearest one, but you live in Canada....
DeleteGod those are ugly...
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Shoots fine, but darn isn't it ugly. Thanks, Bubba.
DeleteThe little P22 is a fine shooter - regardless of its color. Just remember - beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
ReplyDeletePS: I don't live in Canada, how far away for San Antonio are ya? ;-)
hey buddy - i am Canadian and usually very sweet - back away from the very sweet little P22 and we can remain friends. i mean it, buddy, i mean it...!!!
Deletebahahahahahahahahahha! oh Stephen - please send it to me - i looooove it!
your friend,
kymber
KYMBER, back off my Bro!!!! I live within 2 1/2 hours of him and if anyone needed another gun, it's not YOU.
DeleteKYMBER sounds like my kinda girl ;-) maybe I can convince her to move south (dangles a pink P22 just out of reach!)
Deletedude...all you gotta say is pink p22...and i am there! with bells on - bahahahahah!
DeleteAnon...a long way. It's true, they are fine little handguns. Thanks, my friend.
ReplyDeleteKymber, my dear, will the government of the far north allow you to own it. I know they recently eased a few of their draconian gun laws, but I thought handguns were still the epitome of evil in Canada. Down here, this P22 is just a fun toy. Thanks, my dear one.
Kymber will try and beat you down Stephen. She's done it to me before....and won. I'm just warning you.
DeleteNah, I'm strong...thanks, Joy.
Deletebahahahahahahahahah! thanks lotta joy...and Stephen you know i can whoop yer *ss!
DeleteI didn't know they made pink guns. I think you should give it to your wife for future snake defense.
ReplyDeleteI own another. It's a pink little girls rifle I purchased for my granddaughter. My wife owns two handguns. She can't have this one. Thanks, Corey.
DeleteI don't care what color it is (and neither will the damn groundhogs!) I'd love to have it.....
ReplyDeleteIt's between you, Matt, and kymber...ya'll fight it out.
DeleteI told Papa Bear...Don't you ever buy me a pink pistol. I don't know for sure but I think if I was in a situation of having a pink pistol pointed in my direction I would be rolling on the ground laughing. Yea...I know they will hurt you just like the normal colors I just can't take them seriously. I'm also a little afraid a child would mistake it for a toy.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny...good point about the children. Thanks, dear lady.
DeleteGet a can of OD green spray paint from Walmart and paint it. and throw it under the truck seat.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad idea...thanks, Bubba.
DeleteI'd carry a pink Walther. I man who carries such a gun shows he's not afraid of anything, even ridicule.
ReplyDeleteAnd, has one heck of set....well, you know. Thanks, my friend.
DeleteTHE UGLIEST GUN is now yours! When I was shopping for a 9mm,I was aghast at the salesmen who pushed pink weapons towards me. It's for KILLING, and not fashion, and pink diminishes what a weapon stands for. Having said that, HOW do you make sure it's not stolen?? Isn't that necessary before you re-sell???
ReplyDeleteWho said it was stolen....? Private sale. She probably received it as a gift from a boyfriend for personal protection....thanks, my dear.
DeleteAlright kymber & Lotta. Since I am only 20 min. away I think I win and would love to take a look at it. Think I'll visit Stephen & the ugly gun tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteChuckle, bring cash....
Deleteoh heck...you win DFW! damn you gurl! bahahahahaha!
DeleteWill do Stephen ... So sorry kymber ...
DeleteShe'll be tucked safely in wait.
DeleteDFW - it would make a lovely gift to a sweet Canadian friend....just sayin' - bahahahahah!
DeleteDamn good gun. Dixie picked a black one, because she thought the pink one would be less intimidating.:)
ReplyDeleteIt is a fine little piece of German engineering. Thanks, Brock.
DeleteWell ya know, umm its not them umm err okay is ugly, but I have shot the Walther and I must say it shot just fine!! Just umm not that color....yeah..hide it in a safe...
ReplyDeleteI understand they can be a wee bit finicky about the ammo you feed them. Thanks, my friend.
DeleteWe have an elderly plain black p-22 that the kids use for target practice. My daughter saw this one earlier and practically squeed herself unconscious then squeaked out "they makes them in PINK?!? Why didn't you TELL me they made pink Walthers?!?" This has been added to her short list, along side a GSG and a Ruger 10/22 with an Archangel stock. If i sit quietly I can hear my husband's wallet breaking... :)
ReplyDeleteShe's my kind of little girl...thanks, my dear.
DeleteI was reminded that she called it pink digital camo. I guess that was a point of pride for her, that she recognized it. And she hopes that your Little Bit gets to enjoy her pink rifle someday soon, as do I.
DeleteGG - you might not wanna tell her that the new Ruger 10/22 takedown is now available in a lovely shade of blue (accompanying backpack is red with black trim). Probably only a matter of time before it comes in pink.................
DeleteAll little girls should have a Ruger 10/22 even if in blue.
DeleteShe didn't care for the Ruger takedown that she held. I think it had to do with the stock, it sounded hollow and didn't feel "right" to her. She said it felt like it would break easily. But, you're right, if it came in pink she'd probably like it better LOL
DeleteDurocoat makes some great colors...besides pink.
ReplyDeleteThat is a fact. Thanks, my friend. BTW, great idea.
