I shall ease back into this blog with baby steps.

Kymber, yes, it arrived and thank you very much.

Isn't the passage of kidney stones one of life's defining moments.
Think, floor in a fetal position begging for death. Sadly today I feel the second on its way, asking for birth.
*****
Two days ago a carload of democritters did a 'drive-by.' Eight shots. Three down. I have one of their spent nine mils in my pocket. I retrieved it from the side of my shop. No, they were too fast for me to get off a shot. Trust me, I tried.
One of these days....

I've missed you guys.
Stephen
Glad you are back! Get better soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Keads...hope all is well with you.
DeleteI'm glad you're back, too, but sorry to hear about the stones. Those drive-by critters picked the wrong place, the wrong time, and the wrong guy to mess with.
ReplyDeleteFeel better quickly, my friend. You're in my prayers today.
Thanks, my friend, Thankfully my shop wasn't the target. It was gang related, or at least so said the police.
DeleteMissed you, too!!!! Happy to see you back. Feel better!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sweet Lady.
DeleteGood to see you back!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your health. And that you didn't have time to discourage any thought of a future drive-by in your neighborhood.
I'll be fine, my friend, and thank you. The boogers just drive far too fast for me to leave my office and get off a well placed shot. Besides, the cops would then take my carry piece and spoil my day for sure....
DeleteHope that stone passes quickly... Sadly there is no 'easily'... Get well sir, you are missed!
ReplyDeleteThank you, my friend. The passage sure will wake a fella early of a morning....clear head all day.
DeleteI had a kidney stone. It took way too long to pass. But it did. I compare the pain to what drilling into a rib with a brace & bit would feel like. The stone was worse. You have my heartfelt sympathy.
ReplyDeleteMine was caused by too many cokes, dried pineapple chunks, and dehydration in the Fla. summer while working in the sun.
Like all things.....It will pass. Hang in there.
DeleteThanks, my friend. Very apt description indeed. I seldom drink soda, never eat pineapple but the dehydration has hit me more times than I like to remember. Take care.
DeleteHope you feel better soon, and glad you are back. People are getting tired of lowlifes, those thugs will be gone soon. You are always in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sweetheart...prayers are always welcomed.
DeleteBTDT with the kidney stone - you have my sympathy. As the saying goes . . . "It too shall pass!" Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteThanks, my friend. Sure do take their own sweet time to pass.
DeleteOuch and WoW. Kinda the empathic version of shock and awe. Glad to see ya back.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bubba. Now, if I could only remember how to type.
DeleteWell, sounds like things have been grim down there. I hope it improves significantly and soon.
ReplyDeleteIt has....we have a lull in the action. I'll be over to visit soon...
DeleteStephen,
ReplyDeleteOuch!!!!! Stones are no fun, they hurt badly. Take it easy and slow. Sending prayers and hugs to you and Sweet Wife.
Thanks, Sweet Lady, and right back at 'ya.
DeleteWelcome back. Hope you get over that last stone soon. Drink lots & lots & lots of water! Heard about that drive by & was wondering which side of the park it was on. Jeez Louise.
ReplyDeleteI float, in water. Commerce side. I told the cops to leave a few extra boxes of ammo for the to find.
DeleteGlad you are back, Stephen! Hubby had those damn stones a while back, too. Passed them 10 minutes before he was to go in the operating room.
ReplyDeleteWatch your diet - citrus was the culprit. Be careful out there.
I missed you....
Thanks, my lovely friend. Citrus is also heavy in my diet....hummmm
Deletegood news
ReplyDeleteThanks, Warlock.
DeleteThey seem to like nines for some reason.
ReplyDeleteCheap handguns in which to feed the fodder. Thanks, my friend.
DeleteGlad to see you back. Way too quite on the net without your wit. Next time those fools happen by, they would crap if a group of folks came out of the wood work tossing some lead.
ReplyDeleteAh, timing....only if. Thanks, my friend.
DeleteI have a friend that keeps a stone in a small jar. It's about a quarter inch in diameter and covered with spikes. My immediate reaction was it was a huge grass burr.
ReplyDeleteI asked if the surgeon had a hard time removing it, which led to him explaining he passed the stone........I had no comment and only shook my head.
Ugly suckers they are indeed. Remind of sandspurs too. Thanks, my friend.
DeleteNow you have a souvenir or lucky charm with that 9 mil round. Well now you know the thugs can't afford HP's. Surprised in its condition.
ReplyDeleteLucky charm...it missed the shop's front window. Nice visit we had last evening....thanks, Bubba.
DeleteWelcome back Stephen you have been missed!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stevie, missed you too.
DeleteSorry you are in pain. Hope it passes quickly.
ReplyDeleteThanks, lovely lady....I'll be fine.
DeleteWelcome back and sorry for your pain. I recommend lemon juice and water to help it pass. Supposedly, the mood acid of the lemon juice dissolves some of the sharper edges off the stone. My one experience with a stone was considerably less painful after the juice than before.
ReplyDeleteI have a bag of huge lemons in my kitchen....thanks for the advice, I'll use it. Take care, my friend.
DeleteHope you're felling better. My stones are caused by my poor diet according to my doctor. He said stones are caused by things such as iced tea and beans. Huh? I've had iced tea and either pinto or great northern beans every day of my life since I was 6 months old. No wonder I have passed over a dozen stones in my life.
ReplyDeleteOops, I have a steady diet of iced tea and beans....thanks, my friend.
