These lovely ladies are 'old pour' silver bars. They sell for a hefty premium over the spot price of silver. Excellent investments. As an example, and I'm sure you are aware of this little bit of knowledge, if the bar holds five troy ounces of silver multiply the weight by spot...then add several hundred or thousand dollars for the premium. I own a five ounce bar currently at bid for six hundred bucks. Crazy, I know, but collectors love this stuff.
Above, a very rare Klondike bar.....really. Yes, the ice cream's namesake.
I really like the (above) old Silver Towne bars. I own a few.
Excuse me while I caress my girls.
(If you'd like to try your hand check Ebay....just don't faint at the prices.)

You're a wise man, to have made these investments before the price hike.
ReplyDeleteThese are stock photos, Rev., not mine. It was just too much of a hassle to remove my girls from the safe for pictures. I purchased most of my stash when silver was at ten dollars per ounce. I took my inspiration from the Hunt brothers. After their failed attempt I bought at the bottom of the market, and have done so ever since. Even today, at current prices, I still invest. Thanks, my friend.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! And that is definitely 'convertible' if one needs to...
ReplyDeleteIndeed. I normally focus on one ounce silver rounds, bars, and Morgan and Peace dollars, and of course, ninety percent silver currency.
DeleteVery Nice, Bravo!
ReplyDeleteThanks, my friend.
DeleteI'm jealous, but when ever I feel a bit nervous I double check my little bit of silver and I find it is all there no matter what the spot price is and I have lost nothing.
ReplyDeleteBesides us rednecks like shiny stuff!
Jamie, I love my PM's...and much like you I take them out on special occasions and just fondle the little beauties. Thanks, my friend.
DeleteYou sound as happy as kid in a candy shop. Good for you. Now put them things away!
