It's running abouut 29 here in Missouri today. 27 is too cold for the sunshine state. Dont get many of those days down there. I agree nothing heats or cooks quite like wood. Our house in Arkansas we have a wood burning furnace it keeps house toasty. I an looking for an old wood cook stove as back up for there.
I once upon a time had a great wood burning heater, up in Washington State. Here I have two fireplaces but want a wood stove for the kitchen. It'd take some remodel work. 23 is the forecast for the evening and early morning...rare indeed.
You need to quit adding stuff to my need list
ReplyDeleteSorry, Mudbug, just a dream for me. Thanks.
DeleteEnjoy your Florida, they're predicting a Mid-Missouri Mix ice-storm for us tonight/tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI shouldn't complain as our friends eccentric enough to live north of the 49th parallel could always top me.
Yeap, like Rev. Paul, poor man. We expect 23 here tonight.
DeleteNice. I like.
ReplyDeleteIt's a sweet one for sure, SGB. Thanks for dropping in for a visit...
DeleteYou're just rubbing that in. It's 39 degrees here in Anchorage, this morning. grumble, grumble...
ReplyDeleteMade it to 42 here with winds...kinda nice. Thanks, my good friend.
DeleteAnd it's about 60something here in Kaliforniastan....
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame, drjim - Kaliforniastan I mean...thanks.
DeleteWho cares about the weather! How was the biscuits, gravy, and eggs. I'm drooling here.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking stove.
Can't say on the meal...file photo, but the stove sure is pretty tasty. Thanks, my friend.

DeleteYou and me both. This last summer we had our floor reinforced from the basement so we can hopefully put in a woodstove before winter.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, I can only dream. Thanks, Casey.
DeleteLove this! Agree with Mudbug, more to add to the list.
ReplyDeleteMy list is a mile long...
DeleteSeems many of us have this dream...thanks, Robert.
ReplyDeleteWe had a touch of snow here Sunday morning. I've cooked with one of those before. It's... interesting. I love it.
ReplyDeleteWe had a touch of ice...it is interesting to cook on a woodstove. My grandmother used one until the day she died, close to eighty years.
