Pretty awesome. He makes a good point about yeast. I've used yeast that has been expired for quite some time. If you aren't sure if the yeast is good, put some warm water and a touch of sugar and a little yeast in a cup and it should bloom. Also, the oven with the light on makes a great place to proof bread. This would be a great bread to make in the morning and bake when you get home. Thanks, Stephen. That's awesome.
Been experimenting with a no-knead sourdough; I think, after watching this video, I have been making it too dry. Have to try it again, maybe this weekend...
Neat!!! Thanks for sharing that it was very informative.
ReplyDeletePioneerPreppy, you're welcome, my friend.

ReplyDelete45er, I too am thankful he mentioned the lifespan of yeast as I've thrown much away thinking it had expired...shame. Thanks.

ReplyDeletebluesun, I haven't had the time as yet to try this bread, hopefully this weekend. Good luck with yours. Thank you.
