Climate Change
Our weather here in North Florida has finally taken a turn for the better. The last two days have been sunny and warm - temps in the low seventies. Awful stuff. It's currently forty-five with fog and a light wind. The weather critter said we can expect rain tomorrow morning with continued cool conditions....perfect.
It's about time.
Excuse me while I return to my current read. Not sure why but books and cold dark nights just seem to compliment each other - kinda like sunshine and sandy beaches.

HAHA I foresee an extremely bad hurricane season in the near future. When it happens we Mid westerner's are gonna be merciless in the pointing and laughing department.
ReplyDeleteI can see my post now... Why those lucky Florida Blogger Brigade people have all the luck. 32 inches of rain and not one shingle left on their house why we suffer through oppressive heat of almost 80 degrees up here.
It's OK though they can study the nice plywood designs through their windows now :)
Nah....those windy boogers kinda scoot around us. You guys haven't any idea what wonderful winters you get to experience...enjoy it, Bubba. It'll be August, tomorrow.

DeleteIt is still cold here, but warming up some. Spring flew in today on the wings of our Sandhill cranes. I will be thinking about you this summer when we have 80 degrees and 15% humidity with a light breeze.
ReplyDeleteI only wish we had your wonderful summer conditions. If we have summer humidity below one hundred percent we consider ourselves lucky. Is you local a secret?

DeleteI hear the bobbin robins have returned to town. Here in the foothills, we've still got snow but it's on the run. Woot-woot! Warming up to the high 40's F this week .. feeling sorry for the low-lying areas that are going to flood. Climate change has been going on for eons. We cannot control the wind. Now, we can do a better job of taking care of our blue planet (that is for sure).
ReplyDeleteI agree, Mrs. Mac, on the climate change. Humans, as a species, haven't called the earth home long enough to seen one complete cyclical season change to judge her whims.
DeleteIt's still cold here, and I'm still burning the heaters at night. I will be very glad to see some return to normalcy. This winter the cost of heating the house and outbuildings has been astronomical. I had lunch with an old friend in another Southern state here recently. She heats with a heat pump and told me her last power bill was over $500.00 because it has been so cold the heating strips have stayed on constantly.
ReplyDeleteI know, it's been difficult for us too. I've worn sweaters twice and slipped on my jacket at least three times. Darn it....
DeleteWe saw mid 30's yesterday and sunshine no wind. Fixed a spot for hubby and we bathed in the gold rays for awhile. Looks like we are shooting for the mid 50's by Sat....looking forward to it!
