I've been reading Backwoods Home for years and years. If you haven't you're missing a great magazine. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I receive no funds for my endorsement, I simply like the magazine.
Here's a link to their website, http://www.backwoodshome.com/, enjoy.

I told my trophy wife I needed a prescription to it. Nothing but good ideas in it.
ReplyDeleteSure beats the gardening and self-reliant living books I bought that are all "mother earth", "organic", "evil corporations" filled.
If they do have a refer-a-friend part on subscribing, I'm ratting you out to them.
Mudbug, it's a deal. Thanks.

Thank you, Sweet Lady.
ReplyDeleteSubscribed to it, thanks for the post!
ReplyDeleteMax, you are very welcome. Thanks for stopping by my little blog.
ReplyDeleteMy only minor complaint about this magazine, and once again I realize it's my opinion and not everyone else's, is this:
ReplyDeleteMassad Ayoob is a writer for this magazine.
He's a decent guy. What irritates the fire out of me was his take on that Marine that got killed out in Tuscon earlier this year.
Ayoob was far too reader to play "circle the wagons" and protect those SWAT team members that were only too eager to storm that man's house and kill him in front of his family.
I lost most of my respect for Ayoob when he completely ignored the facts of the case and went to great and tremendous lengths to justify what that Swat team did.
Anyway, that's enough from me on this. I feel a rant coming on so I better stop now.
Matt, I agree on Ayoob. That rug he wears looks like a dead skunk died on his head, too. At least the rest of the magazine is fine.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great magazine. I've got a stack of them, I never throw one away.
ReplyDeleteArsenius, I keep mine too. Great minds, and all...
