Not now...

We have a soft rain. It's quiet and business is slow. My coffee is hot and I've a good book.

Not the one pictured, but its still a good read.

Later,

Stephen

    1. You know good and damn well absolutely nothing would happen. It occurs so very often as to never garner attention. Besides, ammo is expensive.

  3. For the past two days, I felt better than normal due to the temperature and the sunshine. Today the doldrums set in just from the rain and lack of sun.

There will be a NEW book to read in two weeks!! (hint) It will be the one I wrote while living in the outskirts of Indiana for 60 years. It's all about Cabin Town, that was only 3 miles from my house, and you rarely saw the locals in town.

It sounds more like one your wife might enjoy. (hint)

  4. What John said. It's been busy enough here that a few quiet days would be welcome. In fact, mebbe a vacation ..?

    1. I've heard mention of vacations....I understand some 'go' on vacation but the critter seldom shows its face in my neck of the woods. I should, though, give one a try. Do they bite.....

  5. Raining here too. I don't mind a bit of rain this time of year to knock down the snow pack a bit. Sitting by the glow of the woodstove, catching up my reading. It's all good.

    1. I miss a wood stove, and heater. That brambly scent of oak or pine. You lucky man you...

  6. Nothing like some hot coffee and a good book! Way too hot for a fire in the fireplace, though.
