The Day After

All is quiet. I've taken the day off; call it my vacation. I might, not sure yet, take Sweet Wife out later for dinner, perhaps some good Southern BBQ.

A few minutes ago I loaded Sweet Wife's little Elsie Pea's magazine with a fresh batch of hollow points. I did so from my armchair, so when I finished I reached to place the ammo box on a bookcase and noticed it already held six different boxes, each with six different calibers of ammunition. Kinda colorful.

Guess it just proves I need to get off my bottom and move some ammo boxes.

Sweet Wife just yelled and said it's time to get a move on and head out for dinner. See you guys tomorrow.

  1. Hope it's a good time at dinner.

I just reorganized my "quick access" ammo area. I ended up using a couple of stackable wire shelves and it sure helped a lot to get the smaller and lighter boxes up off of my plastic containers with the heavy stuff inside. Now I can get to the heavy stuff without moving a hundred little things.

  2. Yeah, my wife and I's "no new calibers of ammunition" pledge has been off weeping in the corner for a while.

  3. Matt, I'll try and thanks.

45er, in one corner of my garage I have it stacked close to six feet deep in surplus ammo cans filled with I don't know what all calibers. I do need to get my butt in gear and organize the pile. Thanks.

Odysseus, I understand. I took the same pledge. Made a liar out of me in days.

  7. We are doing the same thing here tonight - time to get away from the holiday trimmings and back to real food - I'm making breakfast for the family tonight - biscuits n gravy, grits, sausage and eggs cooked to order!

I've got my shelves sorted by caliber too - it's the wooden cases in the garage I can't keep straight!
