Just My Two Cents

But I firmly believe the show Pawn Stars has jumped the shark.

Excuse me while I return to my novel.

  1. When you drive by their store, it isn't that big. I've never entered the place. I only go to Las Vegas on business, and leave as soon as I can.

    1. I've heard they have lines for the poor and appointments for those of means....I'll skip both. Thanks, my friend.

  2. If the spin-off "Pawnography" is what you're talking about. I agree.

What a WASTE of Christopher Titus!

  4. My Dad was in Loss Wages last Dec. visiting a friend, they stopped in to see if any of the folks where working..No. I stopped watching because too many folks come in thinking they are walking out millionaires. I can only take so much stupid outside of D.C. ;)

  6. From the looks of 'em, I'd say they ate the shark. They're some big boys.

  7. I've been into the store. It was dirty, trashy and just basically a disaster. It is the end of my vegas running route so I figured why not, and I needed some A/C.
Before I even looked at anything but a large selection of t-shirts for sale, everyone was kicked out so they could start filming.

I have to admit, it's a great business gig for them.

    1. Strange, isn't it. The first year was kinda nice, interesting items, but now - too scripted and predictable.

  8. It's mindlessly entertaining, as Rick Harrison does his weekly Muttley imitation laugh, but programmed stupidity gets old fast.

    1. You're correct...Rick has serious issues. Comes across as a very insecure fella.

  9. Hubby and I, unfortunately, agree with you. Like so many good shows. I guess it's my age . . . but I find "American Pickers" unwatchable anymore. What's with the sound effects!? Are we not smart enough to get the sense of something they're doing, experiencing, seeing without all the noise and music to cue us as to the what our responses should be ? !
    Rant over. Sorry :(
