I just took a walk around the shop. I have a patch of wild Blackberries out back and they are in bloom.
They give a scent to delicate to experience so they offer hope in the form of pure white flowers.
It's officially Spring, here.

Sometimes I think I could print out your blog posts and put those in my bee hives for feed. On second thought the girls in the hives need something beyond Beta Wave brain power to get their work done :)
ReplyDeleteEven men, if mature and self-assured, can enjoy the finer things in life, like art, beauty, music, fine wines, literature, and the simple beauty of one of God's flowers. The enjoyment of which usually follows age and a keen vision thus offered by true experiences of the ugly side of life.
DeleteI suppose I have heard Alpha waves decline with age.
DeleteI remember spring ... it was nice, as I recall.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Today we have a very windy Spring. Thank you, my friend.
DeleteI was going to leave a smart remark. Then I read Rev. Paul's comment.
ReplyDeleteSo.............what he said!
He's special, our Rev. Paul.
DeletePick the berries, when ripe, and then use Roundup with extreme prejudice.
ReplyDeleteOh heck no. I like the little boogers, Tasty.
DeleteMaybe so, until you have skin ripped, while trying to mow around them on the fence row.
DeleteWhen I was a child we lived near a huge blackberry jungle, huge. We slashed and tunneled into this mountain of thorns not only for the hot cobbler but for a play ground. We had plenty of band-aids.
DeleteI remember blackberries. They don't grow here because it is too cold. We used to fence them in and then put ladders on top of the 10 foot tall bushes when I lived in California decades ago.
ReplyDeleteWear a long sleeved shirt or jacket if you can't handle the thorns.
Should I send you a few root cuttings? Hot house...
DeleteThanks, anyway. -25 degrees are too cold even for the hot house. Guess we will have to be satisfied with raspberries.
DeleteAh, well. I tried. Raspberries are just fine too. When I lived in Western Washington I fell in love with Salmon berries...tender pieces of flavor.
