The thing about Florida's humid climate is when the weather turns towards cold and the wind whips out a steady thirty with the occasional burst capable of cracking tree bark the result is a soul searing deep bone hurt.
Let me put it into simple words; it's friggin cold.
And, I like it.
Stephen
I hear you, Stephen. Come on up, it's 0° here right now, with light snow. You'd love it!
ReplyDeleteRev. Paul, I wish, I truly do wish I could climb into the truck and head your way. Thanks.
DeleteIt just warmed up from minus 25 C (-17F) here to minus 16C (+3F or so) for our daytime high. I have decided I don't like the cold anymore (saskatchewan, warmer part!)
ReplyDeleteDenis, enjoy. This weather is fine with me. When Florida gets hot, it stays hot. Thanks, my new friend.
DeleteNot too bad here in North Georgia. 29 degrees above. About a foot of snow on the ground, I won't be getting off the mountain any time soon.
ReplyDeleteGrab a rifle Harry and head out on an adventure. Gather game. Roast a critter over an open flame.
DeleteCool maybe but I doubt it is cold. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteBubba, here, 48 with wind gust of thirty, is darn cold to us Floridians. Remember, high humidity here. This wind will cut you.
DeleteWe are working on probably 16 to 18 inches of snow at this point. I've measured 16 on my deck with a tape measure. It is currently snowing its butt off at the moment, so the amounts will only go up. It feels fairly warm at 28 degrees.
ReplyDeleteMost folks in my neighborhood stayed home today. My wife will spend a second night in a motel room near where she works.
Wow...I tried to stay home but my boss is a butthole.
DeleteI was out working in it today, just bundle up. Maybe the camp out will be this cold. Knowing our luck, it will be 80 degrees.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the steaks.....let's pray for cool weather.
DeleteStay warm Stephen, it finally got up to 28 today ! Heat wave lol :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pretty Lady...and don't forget your sun glasses.
DeleteWe left Orlando this morning and it was 67 degrees, less than 45 minutes and heading north on 75 it was already at 41. Too cold for me, not looking forward to tomorrow morning. Now you'll need to ignore this message next September when I'm complaining about the 98+ heat indexes!...
ReplyDeleteYep, me too. 46 here now.
DeleteFlorida Cold?? P-L-E-A-S-E Come visit Vicki and I here in the frozen wasteland of MN. evil grin. Just turn your air off...kymber laugh.
ReplyDeleteAh, you guys have it easy. Come on down and visit next August.
DeleteYou forget I lived the Florida dream for 6 years. I know what the weather is like year round..;)
DeleteYou suffer so noble. I'll remind you about cold in August when you are at 100 with 100% humidity.
ReplyDeleteRead the last few words of my post....I wrote, 'And, I like it.' I hate August....
