Nah, Tell Me It Isn't So

The Great Recession is over, or so they tell us.

Don't believe the happy talk coming out of the White House, Federal Reserve and Treasury Department when it comes to the real unemployment rate and the true “Misery Index.” Because, according to an influential Wall Street advisor, the figures are a fraud.

Fact.

Save your pennies, folks. The road ahead isn't smoothly paved with gold.

  1. It's easy to hide and obscure the truth when welfare, snap, and ebt cards are "refilled" electronically each month and no one has to wait in a soup line.

    1. And when they do wait in a soup line...they are tweeting about it on their Iphones.

    2. Very true, Matt.

Pretty Girl, I've tried and failed to enroll in the free phone program. I just don't understand why I'm not accepted.

  2. I saw those numbers this morning. Somehow, I'm not surprised.

  3. I saw that. What worries me is that my sister suddenly became one of those unemployment statistics. And she's old enough that her finding another job in her field is...problematic.

    1. I've a personal friend and family member in the same situation. Sad, isn't it.

    1. I've watched this city die around for the last four years. I'm somewhat of a bullshi*er...but occasionally I like to listen to a real pros, like Obama and his media lap dogs.
