Duh...

We must shop, tonight.

She needs a new cell phone. Her Blackberry is old and gave her fits when she was on her road trip. Fine with me but I hate retail establishments. They have little boys with ponytails that float about in their loafers and girls with pink eyeglasses when engaged in conversation use 'like' as apostrophes.

As delicate as I am if I survive the experience without psychological damage it'll be a miracle.

I wonder if they barter as I have several nice squirrel hides.

  1. Might be fun to watch the little girly boys and girls squeal!

    1. We were very lucky...one dude, a real man named Mike. Not another soul in the shop. It was a pleasant experience.

    1. She is now the proud owner of a Samsung Galxy Four....if I spelled it correctly. Anyhow, so far, she likes it. Tell Senior to forgo his next new firearm and purchase you a new phone. Thanks, Pretty Girl.

    3. No! With the sale of BlackBerry looming, wish I didn't go back to it, but I do like them so I will use until it dies.

  3. If the thing rings that's all I need. Even then 9 times out of 10 I have no idea where I laid the thing anyway.

    1. I understand...you're kinda like me. We did away with our land line and only use cells. I keep mine attached to my belt. Now she has a portable computer in her hand.

  4. Today had the need to enter a cell phone store in order to pay the monthly bill for a friends. A mouth breathing couple had the staff tied up with some idiocy forcing me to wait several minutes. They left without purchasing. My next stop was picking up a prescription. Alas, same couple was ahead of me. Tied up that line for some ten minutes before paying $2.00 for something (suspicions mind thinks they are welfare clowns). My time at the window at both places? Ten minutes, tops.

    1. Your story - the very reason I hate entering the world of brick and mortar stores. I'm fine in the grocery store, otherwise, nope.

  5. My cell phone still has a rotary dial. Joe gets the updated ones, but I get to make a call without the picture icons and all the buttons.

Hello? Can you hear me now?

  6. If I can't get it on line, I usually just pass. Going to stores is not a fun experience. Except gun stores or places that sell ammo.

    1. Rev., I was shocked to walk into the place and find the place empty, other than its manager. In and out in forty minutes. Thanks.

  10. As I thought of going to a retail outlet, or a mall, I had to pour some scotch. Some things are so daunting, they damn near leave you shaking.
