Why

If you still have a Facebook page or use Twitter, I must ask, why....

Is it so important to you to bare your soul before the minions as the government sits back and laughs. What price are you willing to pay for your freedom?

Poor George, he tried to warn us.

Think about it.

  1. Nope. Never went there. Of course, they can access my information if they really want it, but why do their work fof them?

  2. Well, can't really see how that's different to a blog. I have both a blog and Facebook and am pretty sure that I'm on a list somewhere ...

    1. Good point....okay, everyone, shut 'em down. Julie, they actively monitor communications....blogs nothing more than written statements. My blog doesn't have a cell number. Facebook is activated by cells....

    2. Still not really seeing what the difference is. I would not say anything on a mobile phone that I wouldn't put on my Facebook page or blog - not sure if you remember Prince Charles' famous recorded phone call, but it was then that I decided to treat all phone calls as recorded.

I am wary at what I put on my blog / facebook with the full knowledge that if I was ever in a situation where "something happened" anything I had written there would be scrutinised and used against me.

  3. Being a contrary cuss, and a senior citizen (old fart)I'm not restricting my activities at all. As I see it, self restriction gives the bastards an unearned victory. I'll keep on keeping on until they toss me in some FEMA camp or equivalent. Molon labe.

    1. Even old farts like us can stand and fight...I'll not bend and allow myself to be willingly placed in a government camp. Thanks, my friend.

  4. bah... honestly folks...

An article appeared a few weeks back where "sumdude" with the federal government indirectly, but openly admitted that they can pull up the exact contents of any phone call.

They can only do that if they are recording calls.

So with that in mind, I haven't been too cranked up about this weeks revelations.

  5. My FB page is mostly for self-promotion for my writing, and for keeping in contact with friends and family. Most of my friends and half-sibs are easier to catch that way than any other.

  6. well...being that my background is in intelligence, i go "galt" a different way.

try this out folks - it will make them nutty! don't have one facebook page, one blog or one twitter account - have 80! and make sure to daily update all of those accounts with the word "homemade bomb".

bahahahahahahah! oh i kill me sometimes.

oh and make sure to send at least 100 hundred emails to all of your fake google and yahoo accounts with the words "weapons of mass destruction". on off days, send the words "anthrax" and "weapons deal" - bahahahahahahah!

those poor suckers are really in for it if we use the technology properly. let's bury them in stuff that they have to sift through.

    just sayin'!

    your friend,
    kymber

  8. You can't shut everything down - that's letting them win. Like Well Seasoned Fool said, it's an unearned victory. It's like shutting down your free speech for them.

That said far too many people put far too much personal information out there. That's giving them ammunition. Better to put out thoughts and ideas instead; it might give the government motivation to come after you for being a freedom loving, Constitution-hugger, but it doesn't give them the means to shut you down like telling everyone what your personal demons are.

  9. I got a facebook for two reasons: 1) to stay in touch with family and friends and 2) to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to any who will listen. They may kill me someday, but until then, they will never shut me up!

    Blessings to you,
    Jane

  10. I have facebook and twitter to keep in contact with friends and family, especially the younger set. I tend to keep my views pretty close to my chest so I don't say much of anything on there that the gov would be looking for. That said, I'm sure I'm on some list somewhere.
