Tick, tick, tick. Stupid clock. Time in one's life is so finite and I hear mine, marked, as it slips from my fingers.
Nightmares broke my rest and then without conscience thought I find myself in the kitchen, spatula in hand, the smell of eggs and coffee.
I do hate when she's away.
Nightmares, too.

I was awake before you this morning. It's going to be a long day.....
ReplyDeleteThen, my lovely friend, you never went to bed...
DeleteFeel your pain. My lovely wife has been helping my daughter with her new baby and is gone two days a week. Going to bed late and getting up early.
ReplyDeleteGoing to be a cool day here in the north. Lit the woodstove and put the kettle on.
If you feel like me after one of my no sleep nights....well, heck, just call the undertaker.
DeleteI went to bed way too late and was awakened way too early by a cat trying to throw up on my feet. I hate Mondays.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Tam...me too. Hey, I know a fella with an obsession for and a collection of hairballs. Want his number?
DeleteI'll trade anyone....including Tam for her puking cats if they will take the migraine I woke up with.
ReplyDeleteChickenmom is correct. It will a long day.
But none-the-less I woke up on the right side of the grass.
I'll take the cat puke too...hate headaches.
DeleteI don't sleep at all well when my wife is away; fortunately, that's not often. I feel for you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThen we both agree....why is it they insist on travel. I don't get it.
DeleteYep, not a good feeling... Hope you get some sleep.
ReplyDeleteTook two days, but finally....
DeleteThanks to all the drugs, I slept pretty well during my recent stay away from home.
ReplyDeleteMy poor wife, however, did not.
Wives, always suffer. Take it easy...it took me months to find my level, even then I felt a slight tilt to my world.
