Lived in Seattle area for eighteen years. That area does vote Democrat but has an enormous collection of political radicals. OldWobblies, leftover 60's SDS types, violent unions, Aryan Nations, various "First Nation" activists and a huge gang problem.
Might have to take a ride up there & see for myself.
