If

I lived in Great Britain I'd bid on this.

She just appeals to me.

  1. Where did you find that for sale? Ebay? Craig's List?

Now get outside and clean those gutters before the pine needles freeze.

    1. The link I posted leads one to Ebay, where I found her. Darn gutters...

  2. I love those old Land Rovers. Always wanted one, too.

    1. I wish I could remember the movie starring John Wayne and Red Buttons set in Africa...the two biggest stars of the movie were Land Rovers. I watched the movie as a kid and thereafter always had a crush on the vehicle.

  3. A buddy of mine owned an old one back in the late 70s. The thing often found new and clever ways of breaking down. Always wore my hiking boots when riding in the Rover.

I turned wrenches on his enough to lose my love of them.

Now my buddy owns a Korean War era Jeep. That vehicle runs and runs.

    1. I'd still like to own one. After all, that's why we have mechanics.

  4. I'm pretty sure for a small fortune you could have her shipped home! She's a beauty.

    1. Small fortune indeed. Probably cost more than the rig.

  5. Those old first generation Land Rovers were tough, all aluminum bodies and they were the first to come up with recessed door handles to protect them from the brush. I have driven them and top cruising speed was only about 45-50 MPH.

  6. The name of that John Wayne movie is Hatari! Hatari is the Swahili word for Danger! What prize do I win? Maybe one of those old Coleman's you have been restoring? HAHA! Happy New Year!

    1. Thank you, Swamp Dog, I'd completely forgotten the title. Hey, you never know what might show on your door step.
