Our lives remain the same. This is still America. You still have the love of your family and friends are still your strongest asset.
We still have our hobbies and will continue to shoot, hunt and fish. We still have our homes, farms, gardens. You still have sunrise and sunset and the joy they give us.
Yes, our country has changed. Sadly, I believe its lost to us forever. We shall adapt.
So please don't be sad, or angry, reach out and take your children close and give them a kiss. Shake a friends hand. Grab a rifle and enjoy a day at the range. Stake out a turkey and scout for the perfect Christmas tree.
Smile, our life continues despite their best efforts.
Stephen
Thanks, Stephen. And maybe is as it is supposed to be. Maybe this is a call for us to step up and fight even harder for our rights.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure, Bubba. You're correct, it's time to lock and load on our rights.
DeleteStephen, my heart is breaking for our country. But I am so blessed with a good family and good friends. We will continue to live and love. However, we are a lot smarter now..and better prepared. We will make it.
ReplyDeletePhyllis (N/W Jersey)
We must all cling to that which gives us peace. Thanks, my dear Phyllis.
DeleteWell said, my friend. Sadly, smiling is very hard today, except when I see my kids. It is for them that I am most heartbroken.
ReplyDeleteKeep smiling dear lady. It's all we have. Thanks, my dear.
DeleteThis was the theme of my post this morning, I refuse to change my life because some little Kenyan living in free government housing wants me to. Living life well is the best revenge.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Bubba. Nice post btw. Thanks.
DeleteGood attitude. It would be foolish to have one's happiness depend on a politician -any politician. If everyone stays focused on what's important, we'll all be fine.
ReplyDeleteI agree, my friend. Thank you.
Deletecan I have my free cell phone now????
ReplyDeleteHow about two. One as a back-up. I'll get to it ASAP. Thanks, my friend.
DeleteThank you for this post. Well written. Take care, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you, John. Take care.
DeleteLive your life as you have, live it well. Remember the last 4 years went by fast, so will the next :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, yes. And, we'll be four years older...thanks, Sandy.
DeleteWell said, sir. Well said indeed.
ReplyDeleteThank you, my kind friend.
DeleteHere, here!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gail. Nice to meet you. Please, don't be a stranger.
DeleteI'm trying to get there . . really tough.
ReplyDeleteBut you're right .. . you're right . .
Hang in there, Cathy...we'll be fine. Thank you, Sweet Lady.
Deletedear sweet one - you really are a true and proper gentleman!
ReplyDeleteyour friend,
kymber
Thanks, Sweet One.
DeleteAmen, man. Though I have been bemused this whole time by everyone who thought that Romney would have been any different.
ReplyDeleteTrue, my friend. He's the same, just a shade lighter in color. Thanks.
DeleteWe did our best. We voted. Now, we must carry on. And do what we can to correct the problems of our nation.
ReplyDeleteWe could start, by riding our senators, and congressman's butt's. Speak up! Write letters. Get more involved with our government. Voice our anger. No more being politically correct. Say what you mean, OUT LOUD!
It's not over yet. Look how long it took our forefathers to get this nation going.
We CAN bring our nation back.
Very good advice and I agree. Thank you, my friend.
DeleteA black cloud hung over my head most of the morning, Stephen. I didn't reach your level of "zen" with the situation as quickly as you did, but I did get there eventually :) Its hard to stay feeling pissed off and defeated on a bright Texas Fall day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this, Pal. Lots of folks needed it, including me.
You are more than welcome, my friend. Thank you, very much.
DeleteThe tax hike that was already in the works has been passed. It was just announced on television. I know we need to keep Welfare in the black. . . . uh. . . . *cough*. . . and it's just a matter of moments before my social security is taken in order to keep it that way.
ReplyDeleteThe political advertisements are now at an end, but the 6 o'clock news keeps stabbing me in the brain.
Sarah, Obama's aunt in Kenya, was just on. It's amazing how an old woman can dance with a purple feather bucket on her head.
Round one. Standby for far more...thanks, my dear lady.
DeleteThanks for the good news. I think it's time to dust off the old keyboard and make some noise. I'm fed up already about the other side saying how I need to come to their side because they won. BS.
ReplyDelete~Mudbug.
I think it's time for the keyboard too, my good friend. Nice to see you back in the saddle. Thanks.
DeleteI am not American but I wish you guys luck you are going to need it. Never give up on your country though. The USA is the yardstick of freedom for the rest of the world
ReplyDeleteThank you, my friend. What a nice compliment. Happy hunting.
DeleteWhat scares me the most is the total collapse of the dollar, and that is where we are headed. America as we know it will not survive that. Be prepared!
ReplyDeleteI understand, my friend...but like I tell my friends, don't live in fear, live prepared. God bless.
