Last night around 2300 while reloading my brass polisher I noticed a regiment of mosquitoes had taken residence in my garage. Two or three had packs strapped to their backs and upon closer observation those packs appeared to be transfusion units - little IV bottles and tubes.
Just think what it'll be like when I walk outside....

ReplyDeletedear sweet one - i don't envy you in regards to those mosquitoes. thank goodness we have no standing water around and don't get too attacked by mosquitoes. however, we just went through 2 months of sheer and absolute h*ll with the black flies eating us alive. jambaloney wears his bug netting but i just can't stand the bug suit. we still have welts and scars from all of the bites and then last month the deer flies hatched early and they have been fighting with the black flies over who gets to eat us first. oh and these deer flies are the size of your fist! i love summer, i love the sun, i love the river and beach....but man i hate the bugs!!! try not to get eaten alive out there.

kymber, dear one, I had to deal with your kind of blood sucking biting boogers when I lived in the Northwest and while on visits to Alaska..hated 'em. We have mosquitoes down here that sport saddles. Thanks, sweet one.

DeleteMosquitoes are the unofficial state bird of Minnesota. Oh yea they get that thick. My Grandpa work for the Metropolitan Mosquito Control Distract back home. It covered the 7 county Metro Area. He was a dispatcher.

DeleteSo I was thinking this morning that if you have all your ammo in partitioned holders, primer up, and you sprayed it with a couple of coats of clear lacquer, that should seal the primers without inhibiting their ability to properly fire, no? I'm no expert, but I don't see how that wouldn't work. How are primers supposedly sealed at the factory?

DeleteI heard from reading a blog the Off Personal Protection (little fan that you wear) works pretty good at protecting from the blood suckers about 12 hours.
ReplyDeleteSandy, it's funny but I recently purchased that sucker...wore it all day out at the Boar's Nest...the bugs loved it. They suck my blood then take position on the fan and cool off. Worth every penny they told me. Thanks, my dear.
