I have a 21 and a 30, both bought after reading the Glock Torture Test which is now also on YouTube. I thought that it must be a prank until I checked out the credentials. Same reason I went with a Bulgarian AK, I don't want to worry about them firing or not.
Sure, it's a fine weapon. I understand. I love it when my spent brass, all hot and fiery, lands inside Duke's collar and burns him....funny stuff. Thanks, sweet one.
lotta joy, I have 3 sigs in the house. My 9mm is technically the best shooter I have. I immediately go from mediocre to downright decent when I shoot it.
That being said, I am looking to add a Glock to the stable just for the reasons of this post.
It did recently strike me that Glock and AK-47 proponents make many of the same arguments.
While I'm sure many Glockophiles like AKs, I'm pretty sure many others will cite the "buried in dirt" test for their pistols then argue the same relative merits aren't important when debating AR vs AK.
When you need them to function, they do. Try and bury a Colt of Smith for two years and see if they fire. All good guns but a Glock works....thanks, my friend.
Odysseus: Please stop bringing up inconveniant factoids. Besides my "AR" is 7.63x51 and uses a gas-piston. But I'll admit, I am in no hurry to burry it in the mud.
I had a 1st or 2nd gen G23. I didn't like it then. Still not a fan now, but it is hard to argue with their reliability. I need to get by the range and compare a G21 side by side against an M&P 45. I think that would be interesting.

Funny. I was a little confused by the round count for different mags. I counted between 8 and 13 rounds per mag until it ran dry. Curious. Cool video, though.

As I write I have a 1911 style handgun strapped to my side. But ninety percent of the time I carry a Glock. Love them all...all. Thanks, Russell.
