  1. I've been reading about Ben all day and YOU were the only one to provide a link. It looks like his last day was the day he posted. I assume his friend had a sad discovery when he arrived. He seemed to be a kind, gentle man. I am sorry for the loss of your friend.

    1. Thank you, lotta joy. He was my first read of the day for the last few years. He took the death of his wife very hard and ceased to blog for over two years. I was happy at his return, and now he's gone. Sad, he'd just purchased a new travel trailer and had a summer trip planned to Oregon for a visit with his children.

    1. I understand. Proves one doesn't need to meet a person to become close on the personal level. Thanks, Kristine.

  5. That was a surprise. Maybe that is not so bad though.

It is a shame he didn't get to enjoy more of his retirement. I hope is cats wind up O.K.

    1. We have so few....when even one passes it leaves such a void in our lives. Thanks, my dear.

  11. oh dear sweet one - i am so sorry for the loss of your friend. i have read through all of the comments and i must say that i couldn't agree more...you really don't have to meet in person to find friends. i feel that i some of my blogging friends are much better friends than "real" friends. again, it is hard to lose a friend. my sincerest condolences to you.

    your friend,
    kymber
