If any of you are in the market for a high quality handgun at a modest price J&G Sales has a boatload of European police/military surplus Taurus .38's at $149.95. This is a good deal my friends. These handguns are very similar to any K frame Smith.
You will, of course, need to ship thru you local friendly gun shop. Fees usually run around $25.00, or less.
She will arrive with either rubber or original wooden grips.
No, not a single nickle reaches my pocket for this public service announcement.

We'd have one but for a tiny problem: it's so much too big for my hands that I couldn't use it in a pinch. Every gun in the house I can use if I need to. I figure that's a good rule. With the Taurus revolver, I could barely reach the trigger--reach, not pull--nor yet thumb the hammer back. :(
ReplyDeleteKick hubby in the butt and tell him to purchase you an Elsie Pea...and he can use the Taurus.
ReplyDeleteShe already has her CZ-82 and her 1911.
DeleteAnd here she is complaining about a Taurus being too large...
DeleteIn seriousness this is the first time since I've been paying attention to firearms prices that the whole "buy a used 38 revolver for less than a Hi-Pointe" actually could apply.
ReplyDeleteTrue, and they have a great deal on ammo too. Thanks, Odysseus.
DeleteGood prices for a good, RELIABLE pistol.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what shape they're in when you get them?
They must be in good shape, J&G is one of the most respected companies out there and I don't believe they'd market them in bad condition. Besides, revolvers are known for their reliability. Thanks, Bubba.
DeleteI had a Taurus but it was too awkward and heavy for my hands. My hands are too small. I would rather have my 4.10 shotgun. It is my snake killer and I have been known to answer the door carrying it. I like something easy to shoot for a pistol. Can you tell me, what is the Elsie Pea?
ReplyDeleteThe LCP (get it, Elsie Pea) is a little semi-auto handgun by Ruger. It's chambered in the .380. My wife owns one. It's little, a pocket pistol.
DeleteI know how you feel. It would make a nice 'trade' or stash weapon for future use. Thanks, my friend.
ReplyDeleteOR, if you're within a 2 hour drive in AZ...go to Prescott, yourself!
ReplyDeleteGood idea...but I'm a 'fur piece away' as the old timers say. Thanks, my friend.
