I have been told that my Grandpa sat at the kitchen table and cried as the news came across the radio. He served in the trenches in WW1, the war to end all wars.
I figure that after having listened on the radio about Germany invading much of Europe already and now listening to the reports of Japan's attack, he knew what was coming on a deeper and personnel level that many may not have. A great and horrible War was about to be visited upon this country.
Matt, Oh yes, he knew. When I hear young men boast or put on airs about wanting to fight a war - go kick some ass, I've thought to myself; what fools. War isn't pretty, it isn't glamorous, it isn't easy. They will of course understand the first time they piss their pants.
I hope we never forget who our enemies are. 'A day in Infamy' you would never believe it by going to Google's home page, the reason for my rant today on my blog.
