Thanks & Welcome

To my friend  Kris for taking a moment to reach over and hit my follower button. You've made my day. I always welcome new followers with the old line (old to me at least) when you comment here I shall always reply as soon as possible...it might take me a few hours, or days on rare occasions, but trust me I will respond. My promise to you.

I ask the rest of my good friends to please click and visit Kris at her nice blog. It's well worth your time.

Again, Kris, thanks and welcome. You're now among friends.

Stephen

  1. Just remember...even those of us who'd rather have your blog show up in a category of our own choosing than in the undifferentiated top of the Google Reader page where folks we "follow" all go, still appreciate you. :)

  2. Matt, as a new blogger, and a man of the gun, not a computer, your words make me smile, but I don't understand the 'Google Reader' page stuff...? Remember, I've only been writing this blog for a wee bit over four months. I'm still a rookie.

  3. Then I'll just say that there are...side effects of using "follow". Not huge side effects, but real ones nonetheless. Some like them. Some don't. Some of the latter still like you, though, and don't want you going around thinking that just because we don't click "follow" it doesn't mean we don't like ya, or even that we don't fully intend to read and mostly enjoy every word you feel like posting.

I'm one of that last group. :)

  4. Matt, thank you for the explanation. I understand. I thank you for the kind words too. I clicked and checked out your blog. Nice work. Noticed you have a 'follow' button too. Should I hit it...and, I'd like to know of those 'side effects' if you'd be so kind as to explain. It would make a good blog post. Again, thank you very much.

  5. Thank you for the warm welcome. I also reply to all comments, though it's not so uncommon for it to take me a day or so.

  6. Kris, I fully understand. On the weekends my replies tend to be a wee bit late. Thanks, and you are more than welcome.
