Rain

It's been a long and tiring day. The plumbers never showed so I've left a coffee can under the leak. Storms have pounded us all afternoon, which is kinda nice. We need the rain. I promise, I will try and write a nice post tomorrow as I had a strange event happen today at work.

Little Bit had a surprise from her dad this afternoon. He gave her permission to spend the evening with Nana and Papa. We're very happy to have her and she just told me it's time for Gunsmoke. I recently told her she was 'Gunsmoke' worthy. She's all proud and stuff....

    I was always partial to "Have Gun Will Travel" myself but it's important to start kids with core classics.

    I too enjoyed all these old westerns, ah the good old days, back when we all were young and carefree. Now older and more stressed.

    My dad and I still watch it together to this day. I love it. Funny, I don't watch it on my own, but really love sitting down with him to watch westerns.

    Odysseus, I like 'Have Gun' too, and you're correct, start them on the core classics.

    TeresaK, I agree, 'ole Festus was the man.

    Rev. Paul, and isn't it a shame we've lost them to the rerun mist of time.

    45er, if I'm home in time I watch it each evening. Like Rev. Paul said, the show takes me back to my youth.

    Stephen, you should think about introducing her to the other side of "Festus". Ken Curtis was an excellent singer with and after his stint with the "Sons of the Pioneers"

    Matt, you are so correct..he was a great country/western singer. I'll do that, thanks, good advice. You know, he also played other roles on the show prior to his 'Festus,' debut.
